State Duma deputy Sergei Eremin appreciated the new waiting room at the Krasnoyarsk railway station for people with special needs

Russian Railways and United Russia are opening specialized halls of the Mobility Promotion Center at train stations throughout the country.
The waiting rooms were designed with the participation of the federal coordinator of the party project “United Country – Accessible Environment”, State Duma deputy Mikhail Terentyev. The spaces take into account the needs of all categories of passengers with limited mobility, including combat veterans and SVO participants, and are equipped with staff call buttons, train schedule boards, and video information terminals.
State Duma deputy from United Russia Sergei Eremin and veteran of the Northern Military District, participant in the Siberian Character program Alexey Strelnikov checked the new waiting room at the Krasnoyarsk railway station for people with disabilities. The head of the Krasnoyarsk Railway Station, Igor Stepantsov, showed the guests the waiting room, in addition, all monitoring participants went through the entire journey that a passenger with disabilities makes from the entrance to the station to the exit to the train. Guests of the event noted that all the devices worked and it was convenient for people to use them; the journey to boarding the train was comfortable.
The new hall for passengers with limited mobility has all the necessary amenities. Online scoreboard to track trains. Recharger for phones and wheelchairs, as well as a button to call staff. All information signs have inscriptions in Braille. We tried to make the waiting area convenient for each category of people with disabilities.
“Now one of the main accents of the people's program of United Russia has become attention to the individual and the family. This is one of our main guidelines – maximum assistance that should be provided to people on all types of transport – Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Sergei Eremin. “Today at the Krasnoyarsk railway station we walked the entire route taken by people with disabilities, including veterans of the Northern Military District, who return home after being wounded or go for treatment. They have injuries and prosthetics, this is also our separate category of increased attention. We checked the Mobility Assistance Center, which opened at the central station of Krasnoyarsk, today together with SVO member Alexey Strelnikov. The hall is in high demand. Such objects should appear everywhere: at bus stations, at airports. The tasks that we set within the framework of the people's program of United Russia are being implemented for people with different needs. With such a project, we are well on our way to the five-year people's program of United Russia.
Veteran of the Northern Military District, participant in the Siberian Character program Alexey Strelnikov shared his impressions: “Many people do not think about the existence of such a problem at all. When I was on two legs, I did not attach importance to such nuances. When I came across this, it turned out that we actually have everything ready for people with limited mobility. The entire infrastructure is tailored to this, there are moments and nuances that need to be corrected, corrected, but this work is being carried out at all levels. We have a good level of assistance. It's the same everywhere. I myself walked this path, both in Moscow and Krasnoyarsk – everything was great. On this issue, I would like to say special thanks to our governor Mikhail Mikhailovich Kotyukov. He himself personally leads some projects in this direction and is very sensitive to this and demanding of the people doing the work.”
Head of the Krasnoyarsk Railway Station Igor Stepantsov: “We opened the hall recently. Its demand is now more than 300 passengers per month. They built it in the shortest possible time and monitored quality. All standards and requirements for the adaptability of the premises were met, and the entrance so that strollers could pass through, and space for rest, charging for electric chairs, information content, all this is provided and functioning. We conduct conversations with visitors to this room; if there are any comments, we quickly eliminate them and meet them halfway. We try to ensure that passengers’ stay at the station evokes positive emotions.”
Let us note that such changes are the demands of the times. The modernization of railway stations in the regions will be carried out according to the national program “United Russia” and Russian Railways. It involves their transformation into comfortable and modern public spaces – with developed infrastructure and a barrier-free environment, which will improve the quality of travel throughout the country. We are talking not only about major renovations of buildings, but also about rethinking their functionality, taking into account the needs of residents of settlements and passengers. The idea of such an approach was expressed by participants in the round table “Roads that unite us: speed and safety” of the party forum “There is a result!” in Rostov-on-Don. The initiative will be included in the updated People's Program of United Russia.
