In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a court ordered the owner of a private zoo to comply with the order of Rosselkhoznadzor. A resident of the Shushensky district is obliged to eliminate the identified violations within three months.
According to the department’s press service, in June 2025, Rosselkhoznadzor specialists conducted an unscheduled on-site inspection of a private zoo. Based on its results, it was established that the zoo owner was operating illegally, without a license, and with gross violations of animal care.
“For example, the raccoons were not vaccinated against rabies and tuberculosis. Their food ration and feeding regimen, as well as the plan of preventive and anti-epizootic measures, have not been approved. There was no logbook for monitoring the clinical condition of the animals, and no contract for their veterinary care was concluded. No veterinary accompanying documents were issued for animal feed,” the department clarified.
Based on the results of the inspection, an order was issued to eliminate violations and administrative cases were initiated. Based on the results of consideration of the materials by the management and the arbitration court, the owner of the zoo was imposed administrative fines. However, she did not comply with the order within the prescribed period and was brought to administrative liability by the court under Part 1 of Art. 19.5 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
Based on the fact of inaction to fulfill the requirements, the Rosselkhoznadzor department filed a lawsuit, which has now been satisfied.
