Trump will visit China. The date has been given

US President Donald Trump's visit to China will take place on May 14-15, White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said on Wednesday. Chinese leader Xi Jinping will visit the United States at a later date.

Leavitt announced the new date of the visit at a press conference at the White House. Originally, the US president's visit to China – the first since 2017 – was scheduled to take place from March 30 to April 2, but was postponed because Trump did not want to leave the country during the war with Iran. As in the case of previous plans, the place of the visit is to be Beijing.

The spokeswoman announced that Chinese leader Xi Jinping's visit to the US is still planned; it is scheduled to take place at a later date that has not yet been determined. (PAP)
