DHL plans to take over all shares at APM Solutions to accelerate the expansion of the network of parcel vending machines in Poland. The application for consent in this matter was received by the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection – according to information on the website of the Antimonopoly Office.


On Thursday, on the UOKiK website, it was announced that on September 19, the office received the DHL application to take control of APM Solutions. At that time, DHL publicly announced the intention to take over this company. According to the application, APM Solutions deals with the development, organization and management of the network of packages in Poland and is currently controlled by companies belonging to the DEUTSCHE POST AG (owner of, among others, DHL) and Alibaba Group Holding Limited (owner of, among others, Aliexpress trading platform).
DHL ECOMmerce informed September 19 that thanks to taking control of the company, it would speed up the development of the “DHL Box 24/7” packing machine network and plans to have 10,000 of them. by the end of next year.
As reported in the announcement, investments in Poland are part of a wider European DHL strategy. Over the past three years, the company has invested around 235 million euros a year in Poland. It will allocate around EUR 1 billion in five years in Europe. “Thanks to these expenditure, DHL will develop its network of parcel machines on such markets as Great Britain, Italy, Benelux countries, Türkiye and the Czech Republic” – the company was written in the then communiqué.
