The year of Donald Tusk's rule. What do Poles think?


In a survey conducted by United Surveys for Wirtualna Polska, Poles were asked: “In your opinion, after two years of government of the current coalition, is the situation in Poland better, worse or the same as under the previous governments?”

In response to such a question, 27.6 percent said it was “definitely worse”, and 14.5 percent — “rather worse.” Therefore, the total percentage of negative responses is 42.1%. A total of 31.7% were of the opposite opinion, including 12.3%. answered that the situation is “definitely better”, and 19.4 percent — “rather better.”
Another 25 percent does not feel any changes. “This is a very large group, which may prove that for many citizens the political changing of the guard did not translate into a noticeable change in everyday life,” said Wirtualna Polska.
Voters of the ruling camp are more optimistic. In this group, 65 percent sees improvement, and 30 percent he thinks the situation is the same. Approximately 3 percent expressed critical opinions. In the case of opposition voters, 77 percent think it is worse, and 20% think there is no change.
Men are also more critical (52% compared to 30% of women).

Young people: no changes
However, the youngest (18-29 years old) most often believed that the situation was unchanged (56%) or better (42%). The most satisfied group with the current state of affairs are seniors (70+), where 61 percent He believes that it is better than during the PiS government.
The portal's journalists assessed that the village is a “bastion of dissatisfaction”, as exactly half (50%) of the village's inhabitants believe that the situation has worsened. In cities 57 percent believes that the situation is unchanged, 28% see an improvement and 15% a deterioration.
The United Surveys by IBRiS survey for Wirtualna Polska was conducted on December 5-8, 2025 using the CATI&CAWI mixed method (computer-assisted telephone interview and online survey). The sample amounted to 1,000 adult Poles.
