[P] Starting from April 1, the residents of Sector 4 will receive a financial aid of 600 lei for the purchase of fuel. The payment of the urban development tax is suspended indefinitely

Sector 4 of the Municipality of Bucharest will implement, in the immediate period, two measures with a significant budgetary impact for each of its residents, measures intended to support citizens in this extremely complicated period, marked by alarming increases in the cost of living, against the background of the complicated geopolitical situation we are going through.
Thus, following the recent decision of the mayor Daniel Băluță, starting from April 1 this year, the obligation to pay the urban development tax will be suspended indefinitely. Introduced by a decision of the Local Council of District 4 in January 2025, the measure was a provisional one and aimed at increasing the number of public and residential parking spaces, an activity which, in the current context, will be postponed.
At the same time, in order to make it easier for people to face the galloping increases, from one day to the next or even from hour to hour, in the price of fuel, reflected in the cost of all the daily products and services that the community needs and consumes, Sector 4 of the Municipality of Bucharest will come to the aid of the people and grant aid in the amount of 200 lei every two months, for each of the owners of cars registered in the authority's database local. The support will come into force on April 1st and will be valid for six months, being applicable to one vehicle per owner.
Mayor Daniel Băluță emphasizes that these measures are not just numbers or administrative decisions.
“Precisely because the purchasing power has decreased by about 30%, inflation is 10%, taxes and fees have increased, so that for the citizens of Sector 4, we have come to meet this extremely delicate and extremely serious situation with two measures. The first measure is to suspend the urban development tax, starting from April 1. The second measure is to come to the aid of active people, who have jobs, by granting aid for a period for six months, an aid in the amount of 200 lei. We address, first of all, residents of Sector 4 who have lived here for more than a year, who own vehicles with a cylinder capacity of less than 2000 cm³ and who have an income per family member of less than 5,000 lei. These are solidarity measures that we must take for people, because both the creation of jobs and their support is a priority for any of us”, said Daniel Băluță, the mayor of Sector 4.
These measures will be subject to the approval of the Local Council of Sector 4 in a meeting that will be convened in the next period, so that the support reaches the citizens as quickly as possible.
