Autostrada restores more than 400 km of evacuation roads in Kharkiv region — work continues under fireThe Autostrada company carries out emergency restoration of key evacuation routes in the front-line areas of the Kharkiv region — in the Lymansky, Vovchansky, Kupyansky and Pokrovsky directions. The total length of the areas on which the teams work exceeds 400 km.
“These are the roads on which the wounded are transported, ambulances, emergency services units, supplies for the military. Some areas are under constant fire. The works are performed in difficult conditions, in the mode of maximum mobilization,” said the owner of the company Maksym Shkyl.
The first dump trucks with asphalt leave at 4:00 a.m., the last ones return around midnight. The works are performed by the same teams that restored the “roads of life” after the deoccupation of Izyum and Balaklia.
Autostrada emphasizes that these routes are critical for preserving the lives of the civilian population and ensuring the mobility of defense units.
