“For the time being, a decision was made that Romania, along with other countries, should support such a situation. The President of Romania announced this. We analyze, depending on the availability of the other partners, what is needed, compared to our availability. I have gained some experience with demining in the Black Sea over the last few years. We can attend with staff officerspossibly with the exchange of information that can help in such situations, including with personnel who have gained experience in recent years in the demining area. But it is a matter of discussion, depending also on the availability of the other partners. We will see together how we will participate, but we maintain this availability“, declared Radu Miruță.
The minister explained that Romania has relevant experience in demining operations in the Black Sea and can support through staff officers, information exchange and specialized personnel. However, the concrete involvement will be established together with international partners, so that Romania's contribution is effective and coordinated.
