In Krasnoyarsk, a court sentenced a local resident for robbing a pensioner in an elevator. This was reported by the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.

He, previously convicted of hijacking, robbery and theft, responded with a nod. Then he pushed the pensioner to the wall of the elevator, unbuttoned his jacket and tore off the chain with a sharp movement. According to the victim, despite his intoxication, he noticed how the accomplices were constantly looking at each other.

After the robbery, the attackers fled, pawned the chain in a pawnshop for 162 thousand rubles and divided the money in half. The operatives seized 138 thousand rubles from them, but the damage from the crime amounted to 260 thousand rubles.
“The court found the perpetrator of the robbery guilty of robbery (paragraphs “a”, “e”, part 2 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and sentenced him to 2.5 years in prison in a general regime correctional colony. The victim’s civil claim was partially satisfied: 121 thousand rubles and 100 thousand rubles in compensation for moral damage were recovered as compensation for material damage,” the regional prosecutor’s office clarified.
The initiator of the theft is undergoing military service, therefore the criminal case against him has been suspended.
