The general manager of Antena 3 CNN, Mihai Gâdea, announced that Victor Ponta sued, after the former prime minister accused the television station of speaking “fake news” for broadcasting photos published on Thursday night by Elena Lasconi. At the same time, Ponta said he would have met Gâdea in the office of the former first deputy of the SRI, Florian Coldea. Gâdea stated that it requires moral damages worth one million euros.

“I want to make a clarification, because I write a lot of colleagues in the press, ask me if I want to have a reaction to what lies Victor Ponta says about me. My reaction is one and simple. I will act Victor Ponta and ask him a million euros, money for the children.

Previously, Ponta Anuță had filed criminal complaints against Elena Lasconi and the television station Antena 3, adding that the journalist was present in the office of Florian Coldea from the SRI headquarters, on June 10, 2015, when he was there.

Elena Lasconi distributed on Thursday night, on Facebook, a series of images that suggest showing Nicușor Dan, Victor Ponta and Florian Coldea. “In the spirit of truth, I think we all need some explanations for these photos,” Lasconi wrote in the description that accompanies the images.

On Wednesday night, during the electoral debate from Antena 3, Elena Lasconi asked Nicușor Dan if, apart from a well -known meeting at the France's Embassy, ​​he had any discussion with Florian Coldea.

“Did you say at one point that you met Florian Coldea once at the French Embassy. (…) Have you met with him and what context?”, Asked Lasconi. The mayor of the capital, who is applying as an independent in the presidential elections, denied.

On Thursday, in an interview for Europa FM, Elena Lasconi said she received photos by e-mail and wanted to check if Nicușor Dan will publicly admit the existence of other meetings. She also claimed that former prime minister Victor Ponta also appears in the pictures.
