The Bureau of the Regional Committee of the CPSU and the Executive Committee of the Regional Council of Workers' Deputies considered measures for the further development of the productive forces of the Jewish Autonomous Region in 1968-1975.
March 20, 1980
The meeting of regional party activists determined the tasks of party, Soviet, economic organizations and bodies of people's control to implement the Resolution of the CPSU Central Committee “On measures to further improve the work of bodies of people's control and strengthen their party leadership in connection with the adoption of the Law on People's Control of the USSR.”
March 20, 1981
The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” (12+) on the first page noted the following: “Our region was awarded the challenge Red Banner of the Central Committee of the CPSU, the Council of Ministers of the USSR, the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions and the Central Committee of the Komsomol.”
“The ceremonial meeting of the regional party and economic activists with the participation of leading production workers was dedicated to the presentation of our region with a high award for labor success in 1981 and the tenth five-year plan. The meeting was opened by the first secretary of the regional committee of the CPSU L. B. Shapiro.”

The issue of the Birobidzhan Star published the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR “On awarding the Order of Motherhood Glory and the Medal of Motherhood medals to mothers with many children living in the Jewish Autonomous Region of the Khabarovsk Territory.”
Residents of the Jewish Autonomous Region were awarded by decree. It reads: “To award on behalf of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR:
Mothers who gave birth and raised nine children, the Order of “Maternal Glory”, 1st degree
- Panova Larisa Demyanovna – a worker from the Smidovichi district.
Mothers who gave birth and raised eight children, the Order of “Maternal Glory” II degree
- Soldatenko Maria Ivanovna – a worker from the Smidovichi district.
Mothers who gave birth and raised seven children, the Order of “Maternal Glory” III degree
- Isaeva Pavlina Ivanovna – a worker from the Smidovichi district.
Mothers who gave birth and raised six children, medal “Motherhood Medal” 1st degree
- Alexandra Petrovna Bezhetskikh is a housewife from the working-class village of Nikolaevka, Smidovichi district.
- Bredikhina Nella Vasilievna is a housewife from the working-class village of Smidovich, Smidovichi district.
- Gritsaychuk Alexandra Maksimovna – a worker from the Smidovichi district.
Mothers who gave birth and raised five children, medal “Motherhood Medal” II degree
- Vus Maria Efimovna – a worker at the Volochaevsky state farm in the Smidovichi district.
- Zevakina Zinaida Semyonovna – a worker at the Amursky state farm in the Oktyabrsky district.
- Radovskaya Maria Nikolaevna – a worker at the Amursky state farm in the Oktyabrsky district.
- Lidia Karlovna Fedotova – an employee from the Oktyabrsky district.”
