On Wednesday, MEPs from KO and PiS criticized anti-Semitic statements by the politician of the Confederation of the Crown of Poland, Grzegorz Braun, which were made during Tuesday's meeting of the European Parliament's foreign affairs committee (AFET) with the head of EU diplomacy, Kaja Kallas.

Braun first said that the position Kallas takes is unnecessary and useless, and commenting on the conflict in the Middle East, he stated that the Jews, Israel and the Jewish diaspora around the world are responsible for it. He also accused Kallas of silencing him and stopping him from telling the truth.

Committee chairman David McAllister of the European People's Party (EPP) accused Braun of anti-Semitism and trying to gain attention at all costs and told him to “shut up”.

On Wednesday, Polish MEPs commented on Braun's behavior. PiS MEP Adam Bielan said it was an “unnecessary provocation.” – Due to such behavior, among other things, we cannot imagine a coalition with Grzegorz Braun's formation – said the politician.

KO MEP Andrzej Halicki said that even the most radical MEPs do not defend Braun in the European Parliament, and it is not without reason that the House accepts the requests to waive his immunity. – Mr. Grzegorz Braun once said that he felt like a patriot and that he would not do controversial happenings abroad. It is clear that he is not consistent even in this one commitment, Halicki said, appealing to voters to “think about who they are choosing.”

PSL MEP Krzysztof Hetman described Grzegorz Braun's behavior as “pathetic” and “filled with cynicism”. – Mr. Braun is a pure cynic. This is a director who wrote a script and is now making it, he said. The politician also appealed to the media not to publicize Braun's antics. – Stop talking about him, because that's what he wants. You will see that if Mr. Braun was not mentioned in the media for the next six months, he would also lose interest in saying such shameful things even here in the European Parliament, Hetman said.
