MTS connected four villages near Krasnoyarsk to high-speed Internet

The MTS digital ecosystem has expanded LTE network coverage in the suburban areas of Krasnoyarsk. More than 700 residents of the villages of Kedrovy, Snezhnitsa, Kamenny Yar and the village of Vechernitsy received access to mobile Internet and modern digital services.
Communication is now available not only in residential areas, but also in socially significant facilities – schools, first aid stations, post offices and shops. Local residents can work and study remotely, make payments via the Internet, order goods on marketplaces and watch movies online.

The quality of communication has also improved for summer residents who travel to Zeledeevo via the Snezhnitsa and Shchebechny Zavod stops. Motorists driving along the highway to the village of Taloe can now use a navigator online, download music and communicate via video conference.
Last year, the company carried out large-scale work to develop the 4G network in the region, launching more than 350 base stations and increasing coverage by more than 10%.
“Both small settlements and tourist pearls were not ignored: the surroundings of the Krasnoyarsk and Tuba reservoirs, the Badzheyskaya and Bolshaya Oreshnaya caves, the eastern entrance to the Krasnoyarsk Pillars national park and part of the Ergaki natural park. This year the focus is on expanding the network both in Krasnoyarsk and its surroundings,” explained MTS Director in the Krasnoyarsk Territory Sergey Yegoshin.
