Online scammers stole more than 2.6 billion rubles from residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in 2025

The prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk Territory spoke about the results of 2025 in the field of investigation of crimes related to mobile fraud.
The detection rate of such crimes was 26.8%. Over the past year, 808 criminal cases related to fraud were sent to the courts of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. At the same time, 417 civil lawsuits were filed to protect the interests of the victims, totaling 153 million rubles.
Most of these lawsuits involve recovering funds from droppers—individuals whose bank accounts are used by criminals to cash out and transfer stolen money. Taking into account the claims filed back in 2024, the regional courts have already satisfied the claims of the victims in the total amount of 177 million rubles. As part of this work, loan agreements that fraudsters issued in the names of victims without their knowledge were invalidated in the amount of 15.2 million rubles.
