Krasnoyarsk Territory plans to develop cooperation with Uzbekistan

First Deputy Head of the Region – Head of Administration of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Sergei Ponomarenko held a working meeting with the Consul General of Uzbekistan in the city of Novosibirsk Aslam Akbarov.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed the development of cooperation between the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Uzbekistan in the context of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, declared in the country in 2026 by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Sergey Ponomarenko thanked Aslam Akbarov for his assistance in strengthening the region’s ties with Uzbek partners and supporting the Regional National-Cultural Autonomy of Uzbeks in the region.
Information on the official portal of the Krasnoyarsk Territory states that the parties paid special attention to the implementation of agreements reached during the II Council of Regions of Russia and Uzbekistan and the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, held in 2025, as well as the preparation of the Days of Siberia in Uzbekistan within the framework of the III Council of Regions of Russia and Uzbekistan in the fall of this year.
Sergey Ponomarenko and Aslam Akbarov expressed confidence that the development of interregional cooperation and the holding of Siberian Days in Uzbekistan will become an additional incentive for the growth of business, humanitarian and tourist contacts between the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
