Dacia officially showed off a new model in its portfolio – Striker. Dacia Striker is a compact crossover that, at first glance, refers to cars with a station wagon body. And this is one of the reasons why Dacia has chosen Skoda Octavia and Toyota Corolla as Striker's rivals – also on the Polish market – the two most popular models offering this type of body, and – incidentally – the two most popular models in Poland for years.

Dacia, looking at the distribution of popularity of individual models, will certainly target Polish individual customers. Currently, in this market segment, it is the fifth most popular producer on the Vistula River. However, it was much better in the past. In 2019, Romanian passenger cars were the third most frequently chosen car in Poland, and the Duster SUV, which is key to the brand, was then the most frequently chosen car by Polish individual customers.

But let's get back to Dacia Striker. The car is 4.62 m long, which is almost as long as the already mentioned Toyota Corolla (4.65 m) and Skoda Octavia (4.69 m). In contrast, the Striker, as a crossover, will offer much greater ground clearance.

Dacia Striker in the Romanian manufacturer's range will be between the most popular Duster and Bigster. However, it will be the longest model in the portfolio.

Dacia Striker – engines

The car will be offered primarily as a hybrid. The choice will include the 1.8 Hybrid 155 engine known from the Dacia Bigster. The car in this variant will offer an average fuel consumption of 4.7 liters per 100 km.

As befits Dacia, the portfolio also included a car with a factory-installed LPG installation. As the manufacturer boasts, Dacia Striker as the so-called mild hybrid with Hybrid-G 150 4×4 drivewith a total system power of 154 HP, is expected to consume approximately 7 liters of gas per 100 km. The manufacturer estimates its range at approximately 1,500 km.

How much will Dacia Striker cost?

According to the manufacturer's announcements, Dacia Striker's price list is expected to start below PLN 25,000. euro. At the current exchange rate, this would mean approximately PLN 106,000 – 107,000. zloty. However, as speculated by france.pl, the Dacia Striker in the basic version may cost from approximately PLN 89,000 to PLN 95,000.

For comparison, prices of the Dacia Jogger currently start at PLN 77,900, the cheapest Dacia Duster can be purchased for PLN 82,000 and the Dacia Bigster for PLN 99,900.

Meanwhile, how much do the models that Dacia Striker intends to compete with currently cost? You have to pay at least PLN 111,400 for a Skoda Octavia with a station wagon bodyand in this case we are talking about a gasoline-powered car. For the cheapest so-called a mild hybrid (MHEV) costs at least PLN 121,500. The cheapest version of the Toyota Corolla with a station wagon body is currently valued at PLN 130,000.

The market premiere of Dacia Striker is scheduled for June 2026.
