March 10 16:00

This year, Yakutia will receive direct access to the border with China by rail. According to KP – Yakutia, the first trains are planned to be sent along the new Skovorodino – Reinovo line.

At the first stage, the route will be combined. The trains will travel until the 10th kilometer of the new line, after which the goods will be loaded onto vehicles and transported through the Jalinda checkpoint. First of all, it is planned to transport open containers. The Chinese side is already ready to receive: the Lianying checkpoint in the city of Mohe awaits only Russian partners.

To launch the movement, 800 million rubles will be allocated from the investment program in 2026. These funds will be used to tidy up the first 20 kilometers of the 68 planned. The authorities of the republic call the project strategic – it provides the region with direct access to the huge market of the Asia-Pacific region.

According to the Minister of Transport of Yakutia Vladimir Sivtsev, this is the first step towards creating a powerful North-Eastern transport corridor.
