“Turkey attaches great importance to good-neighborly relations and stability in the region. However, we emphasize again that all necessary measures will be taken firmly and without hesitation against any threat against the territory and airspace of our country,” it noted.

This is another incident

This is the second incident of this type in recent days. Last Wednesday, the Ministry of Defense in Ankara also reported that NATO air defense intercepted a ballistic missile fired from Iran towards Turkey on Wednesday. It is known that the anti-missile defense system responded to the threat near the town of Dortyol, near the border with Syria. The remains of an interceptor missile fell there and destroyed the target in the air. No one was hurt then either. In response to the attack by Israel and the United States, which began on Saturday, Iran is attacking Middle Eastern countries using ballistic missiles and drones.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan spoke to his Iranian counterpart Abbas Aragchi to express his protest, Reuters reported. According to media reports, Türkiye appealed to avoid any actions that could lead to the escalation of the conflict.
