What does the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs think about the Iranian president's statements?

“Saudi Arabia once again categorically condemns Iran's reprehensible aggression against the Kingdom, the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council, several Arab and Islamic countries, as well as friendly countries. This aggression is unacceptable and unjustified in all circumstances,” reads the statement of the Ministry of Diplomacy.

The ministry particularly condemned Iran's strikes against civilian targets. The attacks targeted airports and key oil infrastructure in the region. Saudi diplomats described these actions as a gross violation of international law and a deliberate attempt to destabilize the region.

Saudi Arabia rejects the Iranian president's statement

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia also responded to the recent words of Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian. Iran's leader has publicly stated that Tehran does not intend to attack neighboring countries. However, Saudi diplomats rejected this statement, pointing to facts that contradict it. They emphasized that Iranian attacks continued uninterrupted both during Pezeshkian's speech and after it ended, Arab News reports.

The ministry also warned that Iran itself would bear the heaviest consequences of its actions. The effects will cover the diplomatic, economic and strategic spheres. The purpose of the airstrikes on Iran conducted by Israel and the United States is to prevent the ayatollah regime from producing nuclear weapons and expanding its missile arsenal.
