An explosion followed by a fire took place on Saturday evening at a house in Dej municipality, Cluj county. Firefighters discovered the lifeless body of a man in his 50s in the rubble. The building was reduced to ashes.

According to the first information, the explosion was followed by a violent fire, and one person would not have been able to get out of the house by himself. The causes of the deflagration are to be determined by specialists.
“Following the search and rescue mission, firefighters found a man under the rubble who does not show vital signs. He was handed over to the SAJ crew. The firefighters are still searching to make sure there are no other victims. The house is completely compromised.” the representatives of ISU Cluj sent.
Three special fire trucks, the multi-risk container, two SMURD ambulances and an SAJ crew with a doctor intervened on the scene.
“Firefighters from the Dej Detachment are currently intervening on Mihai Viteazu Street in the municipality of Dej, where an explosion occurred at a residential house, followed by a fire. According to the first information, a person would not have been able to get out on his own. Thus, the firefighters are carrying out a search and rescue mission. At the same time, according to preliminary assessments, significant damage is recorded at the said house. Three special fire engines were sent to the scene, the container multi-risk, two SMURD ambulances and a SAJ crew with a doctor”, ISU Cluj also transmitted, according to Dejeanul.ro.
The authorities are continuing the investigation to determine the exact circumstances in which the tragedy occurred.
