What was the plan of the man who threatened a doctor at the “Marius Nasta” Institute. The police detained him

A 36-year-old man was detained by the police for 24 hours, after he was questioned following the call in which a female doctor from the “Marius Nasta” Institute in the capital complained that she had received death threats.
“On March 6, 2026, policemen from the General Directorate of Police of the Municipality of Bucharest – Police Department 18 detained a man, aged 36, suspected of committing the crime of threatening”, reported the Capital Police on Saturday, informs News.ro.
The investigation was started on Thursday, around 12:35, when police officers from the 18th Police Department were notified, through a criminal complaint, by a 49-year-old woman, a doctor at the “Marius Nasta” Institute.
The woman complained that, while she was performing her duties, she was threatened by phone with acts of violence, including death.
“From the checks carried out, it emerged that the call was made by a man who introduced himself as the brother of a patient, who had previously died, as a result of some ailments from which he suffered and implicitly, heart failure. Following the investigative-operative activities carried out promptly by the police, a 36-year-old man was identified, suspected of committing the act”, the Police stated.
Contrary to the investigators, the investigations revealed indications according to which he intended to go to the medical unit, in order to implement the threats made.
On March 6, 2026, the criminal investigation bodies within the 18th Police Department ordered the continuation of the criminal investigation against the suspect, under the aspect of committing the crime of threatening.
The man is to be presented to the prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office attached to the 5th District Court on Saturday.
