Eugen Tomac, about the option to quickly submit his appointed prime minister's mandate: “There's a rumor going around”

Prime Minister-designate Eugen Tomac denied, on Tuesday evening, “a rumour” which says that he would submit the mandate received from Nicușor Dan to form a new government, because “”. He still declares himself confident that he will receive the investiture vote in Parliament.
“There is a rumor circulating that tomorrow I intend to submit my mandate, following an alleged lack of support from the political parties. It is FALSE! The mandate I received with honor and responsibility from President Nicușor Dan is to form the Government and, of course, I will take this procedure until the Parliament votes. It is the natural way, in line with my principles,” wrote Eugen Tomac on Facebook.
The message comes at the end of the second day of talks with the parties and says he is confident his Executive will pass Sunday's vote in Parliament.
“I am confident, however, as I have stated each time after the consultations, that the vote will be a favorable one. All those trumpeting hypotheses designed to divide have no basis and therefore call for vigilance.
We need, more than ever, to remain united and focused on the same goal: the formation of the Government and obtaining the investiture vote”, he added.
On Tuesday, Eugen Tomac declared that he will ask for the confidence vote of the Parliament “as soon as I have the consent of the remaining political parties to pronounce on the proposal that I formulated”, according to Agerpres.
“I really want us to find the necessary openness to continue this dialogue and to receive the necessary support for the investiture of a government. (…) I will respect the procedural deadlines provided, so that I present myself exactly as I should, so that we respect all the steps that we have to go through in terms of submitting the government program and the list of the cabinet of ministers”, stated Tomac, quoted by Agerpres.
Eugen Tomac said that he will ask for a meeting with Nicușor Dan
Eugen Tomac also mentioned that he will ask for a meeting with President Nicușor Dan on Wednesday, after he finishes the discussions for the investiture of the new government, and that this meeting will take place in the following days.
On Monday, at the end of the meetings with the first parties, Eugen Tomac declared that he had a telephone conversation with the head of state.
Also on Tuesday, the Prime Minister-designate spoke about the scenario in which, if his Government is inaugurated, it may have a short mandate.
“I am a man anchored in the political reality of our country, and if a cabinet with a wide support has only had a perspective for a year, obviously, going to the Victoria Palace, I am aware that the measures and decisions we will take can always wake up a situation that can give a shorter life to a cabinet of ministers. I want to go to the end and obviously I will try to do everything possible for me not to cause a conflict, to talk permanently with the parties I'm a balanced person, I'm open to dialogue,” he said.
About a possible rotation with the PSD, Tomac declared that he has no agreement of this type with any party, and the discussions he has with political representatives are presented “openly and transparently”.
