Support for Poles in the Middle East. A hotline has been launched


The number of this hotline is +48 22 523 88 80 – says the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Maciej Wewiór also assured that the state is doing everything to help Polish citizens stuck in the Middle East. He added that these people should have contact with the airlines, and consular services provide them with support in contacts with local authorities.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted on Sunday afternoon that he was convinced that “when hostilities end, missiles and drones stop flying, when it is safe, our citizens will return to Poland.”

As a result, for example, the United Arab Emirates provided accommodation and food to all people who had not left this territory until the airspace was opened, said Maciej Wewiór.

“Poland is observing the recent events in the Middle East region with attention and concern and calls on all parties to exercise restraint, respect international law and protect civilians.” – the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs also stated.
“We invariably support peaceful methods of resolving conflicts in the Middle East and the issue of the Iranian nuclear program. Iranian society, recently painfully experienced by political repression due to protests, deserves freedom, peace, stability and prosperity,” the ministry added.

“We express solidarity with Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Oman, which have suffered as a result of the escalation of military operations. We categorically oppose attempts to spread the conflict to the entire Middle East. Ensuring the safety of Polish citizens residing in this region remains a priority,” reads the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Attacks on Iran
The attack by Israel and the United States on Iran began on Saturday morning. US President Donald Trump declared that the US military had launched a “major combat operation” and announced that Iran would not acquire nuclear weapons and called on the Iranian nation to take power in the country. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, for his part, announced that the US-Israeli attack on Iran will last as long as necessary.
Iranian state media confirmed on Sunday that Iran's supreme spiritual and political leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed in his office on Saturday morning. Earlier, the US and Israeli authorities announced his death.
