Several members of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's family were killed in the attacks, Iranian state media reported, cited by The Guardian.
Tehran has not officially confirmed Ali Khamenei's death, which was already announced by US President Donald Trump, but state media said several members of his family had died, according to the Guardian and Al Jazeera.
The IRGC-affiliated news agency reported that the supreme leader's daughter, son-in-law and grandson were killed in an attack.
In a post on his Truth Social account, President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that Ali Khamenei had been killed.
“Khamenei, one of the most evil men in history, is dead. It is not only justice for the Iranian people, but also for the great Americans and all those people in many countries who were killed or maimed by Khamenei and his gang of bloodthirsty rabble-rousers. He was unable to evade our intelligence and sophisticated detection systems, and working closely with Israel, there is nothing he or other leaders killed alongside him could have done.” Donald Trump wrote.
