2026, the year of challenges for Ana Bărbosu

For 2026, Ana has to deal with more legal issues after the Court of Arbitration for Sport returned her case, regarding the bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics, for re-examination. In addition, the Romanian also faces problems related to absences from scheduled meetings with anti-doping officers.

“We're waiting to see exactly what the lawyers say. Ana has another team of lawyers representing her, this time from the university she's a student at in the United States. We still don't have that official communication (no – from AMA/WADA).

There are assumptions, there are rumors, she has lawyers on this matter, she has been informed, there are various discussions that we will have when everything is official. Not before, because before we can say what we think or what we heard, or what someone who heard something told me. I talked to Ana. It's not easy!said Mihai Covaliu, president of COSR, quoted by Agerpres.
