One might assume that such warnings would encourage Donald Trump to deepen the mock negotiations with Tehran regarding the famous agreement and the treatment of the concentration of forces only as tools of psychological pressure on the ayatollah regime. However, paradoxically, it is the serious threats of severe consequences of an attack that may be perceived in Washington as an argument for initiating military action.

We must not forget that the current administration places emphasis on “US national interests”, or more precisely: how Trump and his supporters understand these interests. The frame of reference in which the concepts of the fight between democracy and tyranny or even simply good and evil appear is completely alien to this administration.
