Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1 (a branch of the Yenisei TGC, a division of the SGC in the Yenisei Siberia region), which is an active participant in the federal Clean Air program, successfully passed the on-site inspection of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources (Rosprirodnadzor).
The audit confirmed the implementation of all activities planned for the current deadline, in strict accordance with plans to achieve emission quotas.
Supervisory agency specialists carefully analyzed the operation of the automatic emission control system (AEC), and also assessed the progress of a number of other measures taken at CHPP-1 as part of the Clean Air program. Previously, the checks concerned the efficiency of new electric precipitators put into operation during the environmental modernization of the station.

“Confirmation by Rosprirodnadzor of the completed measures is an assessment of the long-term systematic work of the SGC to modernize one of the key thermal power facilities of Krasnoyarsk. We are doing a lot to improve the environmental friendliness of stations and improve the situation in the city. The efforts we make have results that can be verified. The company will continue this large-scale program until its full completion in 2026,” commented Oleg Bubnovsky, General Director of Yenisei TGC.
Let us remind you that to date, as part of the environmental modernization at CHPP-1, three chimneys from 105 to 120 meters have been demolished, and a new one, 275 meters high, has been built in their place, which makes it possible to effectively dissipate gaseous emissions. The program also includes the commissioning of 15 electric precipitators with a cleaning efficiency above 99%. 13 of them are already working.
Last year, SGK commissioned two new boiler units, and this year it is planned to launch two new turbines. The implementation of the environmental modernization program of the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1, which will be completed in 2026, will reduce the station's dust emissions by 80%, and general emissions by 20%.
