A number of thematic events dedicated to the national holiday Defender of the Fatherland Day will be held in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The program was announced by the government.

So, in Krasnoyarsk on February 22 from 10:00 to 18:00 men and boys will be able to visit the art museum named after V.I. for free without excursion services. Surikov on Mira Avenue, 12 and Krasnoyarsky Rabochiy, 68.

The holiday itself – February 23 – will begin in Krasnoyarsk with a ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers at the Eternal Flame at the Victory Memorial Museum. A minute of silence will honor the memory of those who gave their lives defending the interests of the Fatherland.

At 18:00 in the small hall of the regional philharmonic society the musical and literary composition “Height” will take place – this is a joint project of the Krasnoyarsk Chamber Orchestra and veteran of the Northern Military District, actor Yakov Allenov. In the program, he will present excerpts from his new book “Fragments” – front-line notes written during his service. Works by Vladimir Vysotsky and Joseph Brodsky, compositions by Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Arensky, Olga Dyuzhina and wartime songs performed by an orchestra conducted by Mikhail Benyumov will also be performed. At 17:15, a meeting-conversation with Yakov Allenov and Mikhail Benyumov will take place in the lobby of the hall.

On February 24, the military-patriotic festival of children’s and youth creativity “Under the Same Sky!” will take place at the Krasnoyarsk Palace of Culture named after May 1 (Yunosti St., 16). among students of educational institutions of the Leninsky district. And at 19:00 in the large hall of the Philharmonic the concert program “SVOyafleshka” will begin from patriotic works about love for the Motherland, the connection of generations and the courage of the defenders of the Fatherland.

In addition, during the holidays, educational, cultural institutions and youth centers of the Krasnoyarsk Territory will host lessons of courage, patriotic events, thematic quests and meetings with veterans of the Northern Military District, Victory volunteers, activists of the First Movement and the Youth Army. In the House of Friendship of Peoples (Krasnoyarsky Rabochiy Ave., 100v) there is a photo exhibition “National Victory” dedicated to the heroes and participants of the special military operation and their exploits.

“The All-Russian action “Our Defenders of the Fatherland” will be held in municipal districts, within the framework of which parents who have experience in military service, military personnel, veterans or participants in a special military operation, together with schoolchildren, will create amulets or souvenirs that reflect the cultural traditions of Russian families. In the cinema halls of the territories, it is planned to show the all-Russian video magazine “The Age of Heroes”, which is based on the real stories of participants of the Northern Military District and the “Russian Spring” in the Donbass. There will also be special screenings of video interviews with combat veterans and military personnel, followed by a discussion of issues of courage, duty, patriotism and personal responsibility,” the government said.
