Since the beginning of 2026, 18 abandoned cars have been removed from the streets of the Sverdlovsk district of Krasnoyarsk alone: 15 were forcibly evacuated by the administration using a contractor, 3 were removed by the owners themselves after notifications.
One of the first to go to the special parking lot was the VAZ-2106 from Parashutnaya Street, 76. The car not only occupied municipal territory, but also created inconvenience for local residents, which they complained about.
And in the Pashenny microdistrict, a broken Gazelle» and an old Japanese minibus were used by the owners as billboards. The owners were repeatedly left notices, but they did not take action. As a result, the vehicles were forcibly taken to a special parking lot; if the owners do not pick up the equipment within three months, it will be destroyed.
Let us remind you that forced removal of abandoned cars began in Krasnoyarsk in the fall of 2024. These are considered to be those which have not been used for 30 days or more.
“Cleaning the streets from junk cars is one of the key tasks of the administration. Last year alone, the Sverdlovsk region got rid of 278 abandoned cars and dismantled for parts. BOThe owners removed most of them themselves, without waiting for fines or tow trucks. This is an indicator that prevention is working,” said the head of the district, Liliya Nazmutdinova. “I would like to note that residents have also become more active: almost all the addresses to which cars were evacuated were received through social networks with a photo attached.”
