The Bucharest Gendarmerie combats, on Sunday night, a fake-down with a gendarmerie that would intentionally iron the flag and is intensely distributed online, informs news.ro. The photo was extracted from a video clip, in which it can be seen that the gendarmerie accidentally steps the flag, during a bus that took place in the protest that took place in Victoriei Square.

“We signal the existence of information that is trying to handle the public and to inoculate feelings against the gendarmes. Thus, a photo is presented, extracted from a video clip, especially to leave the impression that a gendarmerie intentionally stepped on the national flag of Romania. For this purpose, text and audio messages are created to support this narrative,” Sunday, “

The institution emphasizes that “these posts are attempts to manipulate, and the reality is that the gendarmerie did not intentionally iron on the flag, but raised the flag after a bus produced by certain protesters.”

“We reiterate our appeal to journalists and citizens not to be manipulated and not support the attempts of manipulation,” the gendarmes said.

Several hundred people protested against the Government on Sunday, in Victoriei Square, where they chanted slogans to support Călin Georgescu. During the demonstration, there were several stings with the gendarmes, four of them being hit, according to the Gendarmerie. One man was caught with a knife, and the other came with a van filled with potato bags that he intended to distribute to be used during the meeting, according to the capital's gendarmerie.
