President Donald Trump began his speech by thanking those in attendance as well as the media. President Nicușor Dan was presented as the Prime Minister of Romania.

Officials from several countries are in Washington at the Peace Council.
Romania participates in the meeting with the title of “observer”, with President Nicușor Dan present in the room.
“We have a large group of leaders and those who are not here are watching the event on Zoom. I hope they enjoy it.” Trump said in the preamble to his address. When it came to the presentation of the Romanian head of state, Donald Trump said: “Prime Minister Dan from Romania. The Romanian people are fantastic, fantastic! You are fantastic (no pointing the finger at Nicușor Dan). You are fantastic, and many Romanians come and work in this country and help us here, you know, and they are really reliable people.”
The Peace Council was originally conceived as a limited body tasked with overseeing the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, devastated by the war between Israel and Hamas. However, according to the draft statute, its mission has since expanded to address conflicts around the world.
