Hungary refused to supply diesel fuel to Ukraine – Foreign Ministry

According to him, the sale of diesel fuel will not resume until the Ukrainian side resumes pumping Russian oil through the Druzhba oil pipeline in the direction of Hungary. There are no technical obstacles to this, the minister assures.

January 27 The Russian army struck him in the area Brody, Lviv region.

Szijjártó pointed out that in conditions when the European Union banned the import of oil from the Russian Federation due to the war unleashed in Ukraine, landlocked Hungary and Slovakia received an exception for pipeline supplies. According to the minister, the country currently has strategic oil reserves sufficient for 96 days.

In addition, the main Hungarian fuel operator Mol has already ordered 500 thousand tons of Russian oil, which will be delivered through Croatia if the latter agrees to this.

Szijjártó stressed that the Croatian authorities are obliged to do this, since these are “European rules” and not “a courtesy, not good will.” Zagreb has already responded that this may contradict the sanctions imposed by the United States on the purchase of Russian raw materials. American Secretary of State Marco Rubio, during a visit to the Balkans last week, also had to call on Hungary and Slovakia to abandon Russian oil, the State Department wrote.
