The metal supplier to Igarka denied the basis of the accusation against ex-State Duma deputy Sergei Natarov, said the defendant’s lawyer Alexander Khropot.
According to him, according to one of the episodes of the accusation, the Igarka housing and communal services enterprise purchased metal to carry out work on repairing heating networks and a boiler room. Subsequently, according to Denis Bundyuk (LDPR accountant), who entered into a pre-trial agreement with the transport prosecutor, the money was cashed and transferred to Sergei Natarov and other persons.
“At the court hearing, the defense presented a response to a lawyer’s request from the director of SM-Stroy LLC, from which the metal was purchased. According to the answer, during the period of the crime charged, no funds were withdrawn or cashed from the company’s account,” the lawyer said.
She also said that earlier in court, the director of SM-Stroy LLC, Melnikova, stated that the company’s cash was not transferred to anyone. The money received from the Igarka Housing and Public Utilities Enterprise under the contract was used for the purchase of materials, for which she provided supporting purchase agreements. The company did not enter into any fictitious agreements.
“All fabricated charges against Sergei Vasilyevich and other persons in the criminal case are based only on false testimony of those who incriminated them,” said lawyer Alexander Khropot.
Sergei Natarov categorically denies guilt and involvement in this episode, as in others. The defense believes that with these facts a lawful conviction cannot be made.
