Cristian Săpunaru (41 years old), the former captain from Rapid, sued Daniel Carciug, the image director of the club from Giulesti, whom he accused of “inventing” the “locker room alcohol” scandal.
Cristian Săpunaru was in his last season as a footballer and was going to take over the position of sports director at the end of the previous season, but the scandal caused by the alcohol brought into the dressing room ended the account of the former Romanian international with the Rapid club.
