The project was submitted by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

As explained by the Chancellery of the Prime Ministerit is about clarifying the regulations to make it easier for business owners to make investments and develop their businesses. The proposed solutions implement the government's deregulatory activities.

So far, entrepreneurs have had problems with interpreting the rules regarding the acquisition of agricultural real estate as part of transformations. Changing the law will remove doubts in this respect. According to the project, an entrepreneur who transforms his business from a natural person running a business to a commercial company will be able to purchase agricultural real estate without the need to obtain the consent of the National Support Center for Agriculture – explained the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

It was added that, in turn, a commercial company that is transformed into another commercial company is not subject to any restrictions on the acquisition of agricultural real estate.

The new regulations are to enter into force 14 days after their announcement in the Journal of Laws. (PAP)
