Commenting on the potential of the Ukrainian football player, FC Dynamo forward Matvey Ponomarenko, Szabo said that he should not follow the example of Brazhko.
“Matvey must grow up and, most importantly, I really didn’t want Ponomarenko to repeat the path of Brazhka, who traded football for a woman and stopped developing. Ponomarenko has everything for development! God grant that this boy grows up to be a really cool striker,” Szabo noted.
This is not the first time that the ex-coach of the Ukrainian national team has publicly criticized Brazhko. According to Sabo, the football player began to play worse after he started an affair with Ukrainian blogger Dasha Kvitkova.
“She needs a man. If Brazhko spends the whole night with her, it shows. As they used to say: if a football player gets married, consider that he has lost a year,” Szabo said in the summer.
Context
23-year-old Brazhko is a midfielder for Dynamo Kiev. In July 2025, a football player on the occasion of Kvitkova’s 27th birthday officially confirmed that they are a couple. Before this, the lovers hid their relationship.
On September 6, Kvitkova announced that she and Brazhko were engaged.
