Having reached the age of 37, Dan Nistor is writing history in Romanian football. The offensive midfielder, registered at U Cluj, has played the 500th match in the first division in Romania and is getting closer to breaking the record set by Ionel Danciulescu, who played in 515 matches in League 1, reports DigiSport.ro on Saturday.
Dan Nistor was awarded before the game U Cluj – Csikszereda in the 27th stage of the Romanian SuperLiga. In addition to the number 500 shirt, received both from the “Red Caps” and from Csikszereda, Nistor received from the LPF, the forum led by Gino Iorgulescu, a tribute plaque.
