Traian Basescu criticized the functioning of the current government coalition. “What they do is against the Constitution, there is no decisions taken in the Government,” the former president said on Sunday at Digi24.
“What happens to these parties is comic. I invented a new institution, called the coalition, which coalition put a government, with a program discussed two months in Cotroceni. After voting it, it was found that each party has a political deputy prime minister and thought: to be coalition. Well, the coalition meets and deposits the censorship motion – the government changes … but what they do is against the Constitution – there is no almighty institution in the Constitution, which dominates government decisions, “said Traian Basescu.
The former president continued: “rather, the government would govern, because this institution – coalition – does not exist in the Constitution. These parties put their interests above the national interest. Romania now has a government with a high cadence, with measures that the faster, the better.”
Traian Basescu accused that the parties put their party interests above the national interest.
“Romania now has a government with a high cadence, with measures that the faster they take, the more bearable they are and end their application period faster, or the coalition only makes their own accounts,” said the former president.
