The Swedish team was the clear favorite. Andersson ran the second leg of the relay.
At first she fell, but she gave up and continued her performance. But her fall allowed the leading Norwegians to increase their lead.
The situation for the Swedish team worsened towards the end of the second stage.
Andersson fell again and somersaulted forward, losing her ski. She couldn’t put it on and was forced to run with it in her hand on one ski until one of the Swedish team’s coaches brought the athlete a spare ski.

Andersson passed the baton to Frida Carlsson in eighth place, more than 1 minute behind Team Norway.
Andersson’s teammates on the national team were no longer able to catch up with the Norwegians, but Sweden managed to take second place and win silver at the 2026 Olympic Games.
