In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a criminal case was opened against a 54-year-old resident of the Emelyanovsky district on suspicion of publicly justifying terrorism committed using the Internet.
According to investigators, from January to June 2023, the man published comments justifying and promoting terrorist activities in a public community chat.
The day before, detectives detained the defendant and conducted a search in his house.

A preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen against the man. In the near future he will be charged with committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. This can be punished with a fine of up to one million rubles, or imprisonment for a term of 5 to 7 years.
