A 72-year-old man from Ulmu, Brăile commune, who went missing in September 2025, was found, on Tuesday, dead in his own home, under a bed, by a local resident who notified the authorities.

According to the Brăila County Police Inspectorate, on February 10, the police were notified by a man about the fact that a man was allegedly found dead in his home in Ulmu commune, writes Agerpres.
“From the checks carried out up to this point, it emerged that this is a 72-year-old man, from the town of Ulmu, about whom, on September 18, 2025, the disappearance was reported. When the disappearance was reported, the police carried out specific search and investigation activities, establishing the fact that he had not been seen since September 15, 2025, its members not being identified and that he lived alone, being known to have certain medical conditions”it is stated in a press release sent by IPJ Brăila.
Currently, the police are conducting investigations in order to accurately establish all the circumstances in which the death occurred.
