In the coming days, it should be possible to log in to KSeF using the mObywatel application – said Krzysztof Gawkowski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitization on Tuesday. The ministry informed PAP that traffic related to logging into the system via Zaufany Profil is constantly monitored.

KSeF, a system for issuing, sending and storing invoices, was launched on February 1 this year. The first to join it were companies whose turnover in 2024 exceeded PLN 200 million. At the beginning of February, interest in KSeF was eight times greater than before, which caused difficulties with logging in via Zaufany Profile.
The KSeF system is maintained by experts from the IT Center of the Ministry of Finance (CIRF) and Aplikacje Krytyczne companies. You can log in to the system for free via the Trusted Profile operated by the Central IT Center (COI), operating at the Ministry of Digitization. You can also log in to KSeF using a qualified certificate and an electronic seal – these are commercial and paid tools.
– I think that in the coming days there will be a chance to log in to KSeF via mObywatel – said Gawkowski during a press conference.
He explained that for this purpose, the Ministry of Finance will integrate KSeF with the so-called National Node (full name is National Electronic Identification Node), also known as login.gov.pl. The National Node is connected to a number of service systems, including: with ePUAP, biznes.gov.pl, or mObywatel, which allows users of these systems to use a universal login and a secure password, as well as to use various means of electronic identification.
The list of systems integrated with the National Node, updated on Tuesday morning, does not yet include KSeF. The list is constantly updated and published in the MC public information bulletin.
The scale of logins has outgrown the system…
Gawkowski said that the Ministry of Finance had been consulting with the Ministry of Digital Affairs regarding KseF “for many weeks” and reported that the demand for network traffic would reach hundreds of thousands of users per hour, which “seemed to be achievable.”
– When the traffic increased beyond the scale, and there were times when it was close to 2 million users per hour, technical problems appeared. In consultation with CIRF, they were quickly ordered, the Deputy Prime Minister said. He noted that the system is fully stable.
– You could say that everything went great. We must be aware that in every country some technical errors may occur during such implementations. The unavailability was temporary, but did not last for days, which means that today, in hindsight, I look at the operation of KSeF optimistically – concluded the head of MC.
“The Central Information Technology Center constantly monitors the traffic related to the Trusted Profile and constantly adapts actions to unload it,” the Communications Office of the Ministry of Digitization told PAP in response to questions on this matter.
The ministry informed that before larger implementations of new services, performance tests are carried out to determine the durability of the infrastructure and to adapt solutions to needs in advance. “We are in constant contact with the Ministry of Finance and constantly adapt solutions to the currently required traffic load,” it was emphasized.
The ministry indicated that it is also developing additional integrations that will “allow for better management of the login process” to KSeF, not only through the Trusted Profile, but also, among others, via the mObywatel application. He assured that he takes into account the possible increase in traffic in the next stages of the implementation of the National e-Invoice System.
The next revolution will take place on April 1
The next stage of KSeF development will start on April 1. Then it will cover companies that issue invoices monthly to other companies with a value exceeding PLN 10,000. PLN per month. In the third stage, which will start on January 1, 2027, KSeF will also include entities whose monthly value of invoices to other entrepreneurs is less than PLN 10,000. zloty.
By the end of this year it will be possible to exhibit the so-called simplified invoices in the form of receipts, i.e. receipts in which the seller has included the buyer's Tax Identification Number and whose value does not exceed PLN 450 or EUR 100. Also in the case of paper invoices issued using electronic cash registers, a transitional period has been maintained, which ends in 2026. (PAP)
