However, the problem is not only the price. Many customers also encounter a shortage of goods – warehouses in Poland are increasingly empty, which further increases the pressure on the market.

Frosts drive up pellet prices in Poland. Shopping in Germany is an increasingly popular alternative
According to WP Finanse, more and more people are starting to look for pellets German online stores. One example is a resident of the province. Pomeranian, who ordered fuel from Bonn at a price of PLN 1,650 per tonne. Although he had to organize the transport himself, the whole thing turned out to be financially beneficial – especially when Polish warehouses are running out of goods.
The portal also compared the offer of the popular OBI chain on both sides of the border. In Poland, pellets are currently unavailable in this network, while in a German online store you can buy 975 kg of pellets for less than EUR 560, or approximately PLN 2,360. This level is similar to Polish prices, but the key difference is that the product is actually available.

The Toom chain's offer looks even more attractive. There, one bag of pellets costs 6 euros, which is about 0.4 euros per kilogram. Converted, this means approximately 1.7 thousand. PLN per tonne – clearly less than in most Polish sales points.
Rising fuel prices are a common phenomenon throughout Europe, which is related to, among others, with a prolonged, frosty winter. There were also increases in Germany, but their scale was much smaller than in Poland. According to data from the German Pellet Institute (DEPI), in January prices there increased by about 2%, reaching EUR 405.33 per tonne, or about PLN 1,715.
