The mayor's office asks Krasnoyarsk residents to honestly assess whether it has become freer when leaving Tikhye Zori

9 February 16:40
The administration of the Sverdlovsk district of Krasnoyarsk launched a survey among drivers to understand whether the temporary cancellation of the dedicated lane on the Nikolaevsky Bridge affected the traffic situation in the Tikhie Zori microdistrict.
Let us remind you that the experiment started on February 2. All vehicles were allowed to use the dedicated lane on the bridge. This measure was taken after numerous complaints from residents about kilometers-long traffic jams leaving the microdistrict. Earlier, Mayor Sergei Vereshchagin reported preliminary positive results – according to monitoring data, congestion during rush hour has decreased.
Now the authorities want to get feedback from the citizens themselves. The survey is taking place in the telegram channel of the Sverdlovsk region. At the time of publication of the news, 54% of respondents responded that “it has become much better.”
As Ilya Zaitsev, a deputy of the regional legislative council, writes, this week traffic police officers will try to manually regulate flows from two microdistricts in order to understand whether additional adjustments are needed.
Monitoring of the road situation by specialists will last until February 16, after which, based on this data and the opinions of residents, a final decision will be made – to leave the changes or return the dedicated lane for public transport.
