According to him, “everyone is already fed up with the war,” and “Ukrainians do not want to die.”
“Many Ukrainian men – grandfathers, fathers, brothers, sons, grandchildren – are desperately trying to escape from Ukraine in order to avoid conscription, and with it being sent to the front and probable death. However, the Ukrainian border service is doing everything possible and using all means to catch the fugitives!”, wrote the head of Hungarian diplomacy.
Szijjártó said that a Hungarian citizen was recently arrested in Ukraine for organizing the illegal crossing of the border for five Ukrainians. The Budapest consulate is trying to influence the investigation in order to “help” it, the minister indicated, adding that
“The war must be stopped as soon as possible, and violent mobilization must be stopped immediately.”
