The Minister of Labor, Florin Manole, said on Friday that the authorities must intervene “quickly and firmly in the regulation” of the ride-sharing field, in which controls will continue.
The official said that, “in Constanța, in a single control, last week, 716 workers without legal forms were found”.
“Everyone, in the field of ride-sharing! It is an enormous number, which proves that we must intervene quickly and firmly in the regulation of this field. We continue the controls, also in other fields, because the rights of those who work must be strictly respected”, added Minister Manole, on Friday, in the post on Facebook.
The Labor Inspectorate specified, in a press release, that during the controls from January 26-30, “1,026 people were detected performing undeclared work”.
“Among these, 716 people were identified in Constanța county, working for employers in the ride-sharing field. This large-scale action was carried out through a mixed control, carried out by labor inspectors together with ANAF representatives”, the statement also states.
The Labor Inspectorate described combating undeclared work as “a priority objective”.
