“In the third quarter of 2025, funds transferred abroad by foreigners working in Poland amounted to PLN 2.8 billion. This was an amount lower by PLN 1.6 billion compared to the same period last year. The reason for this decline was both the decreasing total remuneration of seasonal and border workers (resulting from a smaller number of this type of employees) and the decline in remittances sent abroad by long-term migrants. This decline is, in turn, the result of the decreasing amount of amounts transferred and the decline frequency of transfers,” says the National Bank of Poland.

Transfers from short-term immigrants in the third quarter of 2025 amounted to PLN 1.7 billion compared to PLN 2.8 billion in the third quarter of 2024, while transfers from long-term migrants amounted to PLN 1.1 billion in the discussed quarter compared to PLN 1.6 billion in the corresponding quarter of 2024.

The geographical structure was still dominated by transfers to Ukraine. They amounted to PLN 1.9 billion and accounted for 68.6%. all means. (PAP Business)
