In Krasnoyarsk, in the city center, a man was beaten by a group of strangers. The victim himself told Newslab about this.

According to him, on February 2, from one to two in the morning, he was in the lobby of the Krasnoyarsk Hotel with a friend living there, whom he accompanied to the hotel. A group of men were resting provocatively noisily in the hotel lobby, and he asked to be quieter.

“In response, they loudly complained to me: somewhere the topic arose that I had to pay taxes, they threatened me. I replied that I pay taxes, I work officially and I don’t have any problems. The girls I accompanied my friend with tried to calm them down. We went out onto the hotel porch. There, a man who called himself a deputy kicked me in the groin area, in response I kicked him in the face, after that we separated and called a taxi.”

However, the conflict did not end there. As the injured man explained, he and his friend went outside and waited for a taxi. There they were again approached by a company of the same aggressive men.

“One of them shouted that he was an employee of the Russian Guard, then – OBEP, the other (the most aggressive) shouted that he was behind him [стоит] some private security company and hit me in the face. We tried in every possible way to leave: while we were getting into the car, they tried to pull me out of it, they beat me right in the car, they banged on the car. The taxi driver got out of the car to protect him from harm, and a group of beating people pulled me out of the car: they threw me onto the asphalt, kicked me in the head, in the stomach and on the back – there were at least three beating people.”

Then, as the beaten man explained, one of the attackers shouted: “This is already a crime!”, after which the group of aggressors quickly left. After this, the victim and his friend called an ambulance, and the beatings were recorded. Later, a police patrol car arrived and the victim and his friend were taken to the police department.

As the police told Newslab, a statement from the victim was accepted. He was given a referral to undergo a medical examination to determine the severity of his injuries. Measures are being taken to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
