A resident of the Kuraginsky district gave 4.7 million rubles “for investment”

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a man believed in honesty “investors» and gave them 4.7 million rubles.
The prosecutor's office said that in November 2025, a resident of the Kuraginsky district in “TikTok” I came across an advertisement for making money on investments. The link brought him to the chat in tElegramwhere I contacted him “specialist»who sent the victim video instructions and told him the rules of work.
“I was satisfied with everything, and I decided to invest the money in investments. Next, I installed a special application in which we communicated via video and audio calls. I also had a curator in this application,” explains the victim.
Then the man made several transfers, the amount of which exceeded 4.7 million rubles, allegedly to “accounts investors.” When the time came to withdraw the earnings, the false curator began to answer the man’s questions with excuses: either he needed to pay an insurance premium, or he needed to undergo verification.
“I knew about different types of fraud, but I hoped for the honesty of investors,” the victim shares.
A criminal case was opened for fraud (Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The prosecutor's office noted that since the beginning of the year, 264 residents of the region have become victims of Internet criminals. The damage caused amounted to 69 million rubles. The detection rate was 10% (28 crimes were solved). Over the past week alone, more than 26 million rubles were stolen remotely from 98 residents of the region.
