The Venice Biennale jury has announced its resignation. As Art Review reported on April 30, all members of the jury signed their resignations.
“On April 30, 2026, we, the international jury elected by Koyo Kuo, artistic director of the 61st Venice Biennale entitled In Minor Keys, tendered our resignation. We do this in confirmation of our statement of intent published on April 22,” the statement said.
The publication recalled that the aforementioned statement refers to the decision not to consider as candidates for the main awards of the competition (Golden and Silver Lions) representatives of countries “whose leaders are accused of crimes against humanity by the International Criminal Court” (these include the illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu).
